No these orders have not come from my 8 year old step-daughter. She has been at her mom?s this week, and hasn?t had a chance to check out this play set yet. I know she?ll love it, however she?s going to have to pry it away from her 3 year old little brother first. My little man is the new official Polly Pocket addict.

He will sit for hours (a major accomplishment for a 3 year old!) and play with the little animals and accessories, creating new adventures for the animals and doll. Anyone who dares set foot in our house must play with him on command and he?s even tried to make the paper boy and UPS delivery guy come play too!

We don?t have pets, and I don?t think he?s ever been in a real pet store, but my little guy knows exactly what to do with everything in this cute play set. He loves the little rotating pet carousel where the Polly Pocket doll can choose a pet, and then take it inside to rock it on the swing, gift it a bath and more. The Polly Pocket doll has bendable arms so that she can hold the little pets that come with the play set and we loved the small attention to details and little surprises the set includes. The treat dispenser is really cool and has been a big hit, and so has the slide and the secret door and the elevator.

This is the second Polly Pocket set we?ve had the opportunity to review recently and I?ve been really impressed with some of the updates they?ve made to this popular line of toys. In response to feedback from moms and girls, many of the sets now have little suction cups to help the pieces stay in place and a little bit larger size also makes it easy for play with little hands. There?s a wide variety of fun sets that play great separately or together and there?s even a fun Polly Pocket DVD for even more adventures.

My little man and I have played Polly Pocket Pet Shop for hours this week, and he?s had a great time with various adventures. It?s also been a good way to work with him on various concepts and vocabulary words. We?ve practiced things like ?put the kitty on the counter? and ?put the bird in the bathtub? and had him tell me stories why the animals were doing different things.
