Position Summary Serves as the key executive responsible for developing strategy on behalf of AARP Services, Inc. (ASI) in support of multiple lines of business and AARP?s overall organizational goals.?? Leads the direction for overall business strategies, including short- and long-term strategic and operational plans consistent with brand value promise and growth opportunities.? Leads research, strategic and operational planning, and innovation.? .Assesses current performance, consumer, market, and environmental trends to generate insights to drive the strategic and innovation agenda. Works with business lines to develop a strategy for member-centric integrated solutions, identifying new opportunities for products and services and enabling tools, and decision guidance.? Key lines of business include Health, Financial, Travel, Technology, Dining, Retail and Entertainment.? Integrates strategic plan across ASI?s functional organizations including Marketing, Distribution, Operations and Consulting Services. ?Supports relevant business unit owners to build and manage executive-level relationships with major partner/provider organization leaders and to facilitate strategic dialogues.? ? Responsible for leading and enhancing ?organizational competency in research, strategy, and innovation.? Manages VP Strategy and Planning and team of Strategy and Planning Directors that represent ASI on AARP?s portfolio teams. Member of ASI Leadership Team ?

Requirements 15+ years of experience in strategy and product development in both established as well as new and emerging marketplaces.? ? Health industry experience highly desired. ?Experience in Financial or Travel industries also valued. ? Depth of understanding of strategic planning, product development, research, digital strategy, marketing, and consulting services.? B2B experience managing outside partnerships a plus ? Demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the needs of target audiences and segments.? Ability to analyze complex and interrelated business and consumer models across a range of industries.? ? Action orientation and a decisive, quick study with proven ability to accurately analyze information, identify key trends, and recommend strategies to drive results into the future. ? Excellent oral/written presentation skills and proficiency in preparation and presentation of proposals, strategies, analytical reports, and performance assessments.? ? Proven ability to work well in a highly matrixed organization is critical.? Ability to work effectively with people to lead through influence and build consensus with superiors, peers, and subordinates. ? Substantial management and leadership experience. Ideally, experience on a cross functional leadership team.? Leadership style that motivates others to follow, leads by examples, and obtains results through others. ? ?
